I found Iris Holidays while researching a possible trip to Kerala. They seemed well established and the Kerala experts so I talked to them. Out trip designer Saranya was very good giving us an example 15 day itinerary and then letting us tweak it to suit our needs. For instance we decided to have 4 days at Varkala at the end of the holiday as we had done a lot of travelling. Our route was Kochi-Munnar-Thekkady-Kumarakom-Alleppey-Varkala-Kochi. The trip was well designed and available on a web link with links to hotels. We choose 4/5* hotels and the trip which included a driver and car for the whole time. The trip provided excellent value for money and they checked with us that we were happy as we travelled. Big shout out to Akhil, our driver, who must to the safest and most courteous driver in India. He arranged stops at local chai stops and restaurants on route that gave us a great feeling for local life. The highlight of the trip for me was at Periyar national park where we tracked a herd of wild elephants on foot led by our superstar guide Praveen P. Also the day on the houseboat was brilliant with a great team on number 16 - Matthew, Suresh and Abash - fantastic way to see the wildlife at a gentle pace. All highly recommended and tailored to your requirements.
